A piece of the social security puzzle
In this issue we really get to heart of the role of beneficiary funds in Southern Africa and how they can be used in the social security context to augment household income and alleviate the suffering brought about by the pandemic. We intend to engage relevant stakeholders and authorities further on this topic.
Elsewhere we turn to trusts. Louis van Vuren, the CEO of the Fiduciary Institute of Southern Africa, writes a guest article on the situation in the Master’s Office where there is a serious backlog in various functions, including registration of trust deeds.
In this issue, we also discuss how we address critical questions that clients typically ask and what Returning to the Office might mean.
