We are honoured to announce that Fairheads Benefit Services has once again been acknowledged by the Institute of Retirement Funds Africa (IRFA) for its Guardian Roadshow.
Fairheads was awarded a Best Practice certificate in the category: Stakeholder Engagement and Education.
The Guardian Roadshow programme is an annual client outreach which we have successfully executed over the past 9 years. More than 25,000 clients – guardians, caregivers and members – from participating funds have benefitted from the programme to date.
The driving force behind our client communication and education strategy, of which the Guardian Roadshow is a vital component, is to improve our clients’ accessibility to information and services. We do this by providing appropriate communication channels and access points and by removing barriers to understanding the service and product as far as possible.
The roadshow presentations are conducted in the vernacular of the region, making the information more accessible to clients. Communication is in plain language as far as possible, with the presenter being able to use anecdotes and examples that speak to people in terms of their culture and community. Furthermore, low literacy levels amongst clients mean that this verbal communication holds far greater value than written communication and clients don’t feel intimidated due to lack of understanding.
We thank all our clients for their support of the Guardian Roadshow and we hope to continue going from strength to strength.
