Social responsibility

Our social responsibility initiatives take place in the areas of youth, health and education, through the Fairheads Development Foundation, a registered public benefit charitable organisation. Our flagship project is the Fairheads/UCT Clanwilliam Arts Project which we have supported for over a decade, enabling a permanent theatre presence in the town and careers in the performing arts. This project won a BASA award in August 2010 in recognition of its contribution to sustainability and the youth.

  • SA Medical Foundation - towards their Red Ribbon campaign creating awareness of HIV/AIDS.
  • Reiger Park Early Childhood & Women Development.
  • Cape Flats Development Association serving underprivileged communities in child and family development,
  • Iziko Lo Lwazi organisation providing employment and skills building in communities.

In addition, our staff are involved in various initiatives such as the Fairheads Winter Blanket Campaign and Christmas Box Project where staff contribute items that are distributed to orphanages, old age homes and shelters of their choice.
